HATCHBOX 3D PTR-ALPHA Alpha 3D Printer, Fully Assembled, Heated Build Plate with Glass Bed and Automatic Leveling, Volume 300 mm Diameter x 330 mm Height, Print Resolution 50-400

Welcome to Hatchbox 3D Printer Clean and elegant, Hatchbox’s Alpha is fully assembled and easy to calibrate for beginning designers to expert engineers. While many consumers may be familiar with the Cartesian 3D printers, which are named after the coordinate system where movement is always linear left to right, front to back, and up and down, the limitation of Cartesian printers is its inability to change direction instantaneously. Hatchbox Alpha printers expand on this square 3D space by featuring a circular print bed that is designed for speed and precise prints. The elongated design allows for you to build much taller prints that otherwise would have been built in parts by a Cartesian printer. The overall minimalistic construction makes 3D printing easier, and with less complication to reduce maintenance and cost. 1. Great 3D Printer This is a great 3D Printer. I have used a Cartesian printer for 6 months, and I thought I would try a Delta style 3D printer. One of the first things I noticed was the lack of vibration. On my Flashforge the vibration is considerable. You can barely tell the print head on the Alpha is moving. The Alpha is very well built and sturdy. It does have an elegant, but futuristic look. The Delta printers are more interesting to watch print, then the Cartesian counterpart. The large LCD screen is nice,…

  2. … review on the internet existed but it has a pretty large build area for the price point and decent … I was some what on the edge about this printer since only one review on the internet existed but it has a pretty large build area for the price point and decent resolution so I decided to give it a shot and am very glad I did. First think you notice when you open the box is this is a very high quality and well constructed machine. The machine even comes with a tool set in a molded tool box. It was easy to setup and I had it up and printing within 10 minutes. The menus were easy to navigate and…

  3. This is a good printer but it has some slight issues This is a good printer but it has some slight issues. I’ll start with what’s good about the unit.1. The auto leveling feature is good and will save you some time/headache of having to manually adjust threaded screws each time you run a print.2. The overall build quality and tower structure is well designed and sturdy. There is not much flex in it which should in theory lead to good print quality.3. The menu system, although quirky, is easy to get the hang of once you…
